Maths Competition Winners

Congratulations to Miss Brown's Year 2 class for winning the national Maths Whizz competition. They beat classes from across the country with their maths prowess. Their prize includes everything they need to throw a class party and supermarket vouchers which they will spend on party food. Well done 2AB - party on!

British Science Week

On the 12th March we celebrated British Science week. Atomic Tom came in to school and every child enjoyed his spectacular assemblies with some lucky year groups getting to take part in his exciting workshops. It was great to see the fun science experiments taking place across our school promoting Science, Technology and Engineering.

Science Display

Over the February half term, Mrs Carass, our Science Subject Lead, set our children the task of creating a poster titled 'Science and Me'. This was to show how science impacts our daily lives. Congratulations to our winners and all of those whose posters are displayed proudly in the corridor outside my office. The standard of work was exceptional and it was great to see what fun you have been getting up to outside of school.

World Book Day

Thank you to everyone who dressed up for World Book Day this year and took part in our school Readathon. Reading is probably the most important thing that we teach our children so it's nice to see such a love of reading across our whole school.

The dental team from the University of Northampton visited Year 4 last week to teach them all about the best way to brush their teeth, what foods are good or bad for teeth and whether they should rinse their mouths after brushing.
